The idea
Confidence tells you how strongly someone believes. Evidence helps you decide whether to believe them.
An example
Imagine a supplier says a product is “the best.” Ask what best means, compared with what, and according to which evidence. That turns an impressive phrase into an answerable question.
Try it
Choose one claim you heard today. List what you know, how you know it, and what remains uncertain.
